As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in managing the financial records of our company.
Your responsibilities will span a variety of tasks, including PAYE & CIS returns, company pensions, purchase & sales ledgers, and maintaining accurate P&L, Balance Sheet records, CRM, answering phone calls. Proficiency in Xero Accounting and Excel, along with construction industry knowledge, will be crucial to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase & sales ledgers, payments, invoices (including CIS invoices), income, and receipts using Xero Accounting and Hubdoc.
- Handle vendor invoices and statements, ensuring timely payments.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to update current job valuations for accurate sales invoicing.
- Manage Director and employee expense claims.
- Prepare employee wages using RTI basic tools.
- Correct inconsistencies within accounts for accurate reporting.
- Review and verify the accuracy of business accounts.
- Complete VAT, CIS, and PAYE returns.
- Maintain and reconcile bank account balances and corporate credit cards.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of all aspects of bookkeeping with the ability to maintain accurate accounts.
- Solid administrative skills to assist Management colleagues with customer job maintenance.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships.
- Team player with the capacity to use initiative and make independent decisions.
- Well-organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Good maths and IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience:
- Bookkeeping/Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
Salary:
Dependent on experience.
Working Hours:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Benefits:
- 20 days holiday per annum, rising by 1 day for each complete year of service, plus Bank Holidays.
